What our Singapore EMBA graduates say….

Steve Liew
Managing Director
MWH Consultants (S) Pte Ltd

I enjoyed the lectures and assignments, and networking with faculty and course-mates from different cultures, countries and market sectors. In particular, I learnt about my weaknesses and strengths and acquired skills to overcome these weaknesses and enhance my strengths, enabling me to realize my potential and turning risks into opportunities.

The HSE Executive MBA international focus helped to further enhance and broaden my understanding of global business. Whilst undertaking the Executive MBA in 2006/2007, it provided new ideas and insights that were immediately applicable to help me to magnify my impact on my business, transforming the operations into a profitable and sustainable business. I am sure that it would continue to help me to stimulate, identify, generate and implement new ideas and opportunities for myself and my business for many years to come.

Fantastic program. Highly recommended. Excellent blend of class room teaching, case studies, real life assignments, thought provoking discussions amongst the faculty professors and the participating senior managers – all packaged into this program which is delivered by fantastic professors from world's best business schools across the globe. Triple accreditation and small class size makes this program even more special. Weekend classes make it suitable for busy executives like me. This program demands significant time and effort which has been an investment for me in personal development in pursuit of my career goals. I must say this program is worth the investment and personally for me; it has already started paying off.

Jim Kee Dean
AIA Financial Health Check Academy

Two Questions for Dean Jim Kee, HSE EMBA Class of 2000 and pioneer batch

1. How has HSE Executive MBA helped you advance your career?
The Executive MBA program had definitely helped me in my career since I joined AIA in 2000, within months of graduating from the program. The knowledge and skills I picked up in the program definitely helped me deliver what was required of me, at that time. Along the way, I was given more and more responsibilities and naturally, that helped advance my career within the organization. Today, I am proud to be the Dean of the AIA Financial Health Check Academy, where everyday, my team and I are working with great professionals in delivering Quality Advice and Quality Service to our Customers.

What I liked best about the program?
I enjoyed the networking and learning from fellow students, who are great managers in their own right. What was even better, I got to learn from the many professors who are not only world class Academics, and many are also successful world class consultants to some of the largest corporations in the world. One of my Professors even sat in the taskforce under the President Bill Clinton Administration, to help tackle the Melissa Virus which was creating havoc in the corporate and government computer systems!

Together we turned the classroom into our Learning Space. Often, with the Professors giving us real world scenarios and constantly challenging us to come up with Real and Practical solutions to today’s issues, I felt like they have transformed our classroom into a Boardroom.

I must say that the program is worth every dollar and even more important, the valuable weekends and evenings I had invested. I would highly recommend the HSEEE Executive MBA program to anyone seriously considering a great MBA program with a great University with a great tradition, to advance their career and enriching their personal lives.

Managing Director

The flexibility of the course schedule, interesting course modules with up-to-date course content and strong recommendations of friends who had attended the program were the key reasons for choosing HSEEE. My job was previously a regional role that required a lot of travelling. So the availability of weekend classes and the school’s emphasis on applied rather than theoretical type of study suited me and was what I needed for my work.
