Corporate entrepreneurship within an existing firm usually leads to new business ventures, the development of new products, services or processes and the renewal of strategies and competitive postures. For small and medium enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurship is crucial to bring about renewal and innovation.
In this session, Professor John Doggett will discuss the environmental conditions that foster an entrepreneurial attitude and orientation in organizations well beyond upstart. It also explores the reasons why entrepreneurship tends to be discouraged, if not destroyed, in organizations as they grow and mature.
