EMBA Alumni Network
Those who have graduated from the Helsinki School of Economics or worked there are alumni. They have the chance to join the alumni network, which in Finland is already a leading network of business expertise. In the alumni network, you will hear about topical matters, upcoming events and possibilities for continuing education, and you will be able to take part in the diverse activities of the university.
The aim of alumni activity is to get alumni together with HSE teachers, students, researchers, and representatives from the world of business – creating a beneficial network and inspirational meeting place for all parties. Alumni activity is based on voluntary contribution. The principle is to guarantee all alumni the chance to belong to the circle of alumni communications and activity free-of-charge.

-To create an interactive relationship between alumni and HSE
-To encourage alumni to continue their education
-To create the foundations for the development of HSE company cooperation and for the sales of its services
-To encourage alumni to share their skills in HSE teaching and research and to support the students
-To strengthen the societal influence of HSE
Present situation and development
At present, HSE alumni activity covers over 8,000 people, representing the top level of Nordic university alumni activity. During the year, the board of the alumni considered ways, by which alumni activity could be developed still further towards the top international level. Key issues dealt with included how alumni could be anchored even more comprehensively in the everyday life of HSE, and how alumni activity could develop clear added value as a productive endeavor. The board also considered the internationalization of alumni activity and the segmentation of the alumni community.
Education and Services
HSE wants to encourage its old students to engage in life-long learning and support them in the completion of further studies. The diverse and top-class range of training and services at HSE is there to contribute to the success of the individual and the company.
Is your company, for example, interested in a partnership program, which offers the chance for strategic cooperation between the company and HSE? Do you want to develop your skills through the continuing education offered by HSE? Are you interested in taking advantage of HSE’s high-quality research expertise or in recruiting able young people through HSE's career services? HSE offers its alumni plenty of commercial training and a diverse range of services.
Co-operation
HSE wishes to cooperate closely with its alumni. The foundation of alumni activity is a reciprocal relationship based on friendship, and therefore we hope that alumni will get involved in supporting and developing their own university.
Alumni can support HSE in such ways as the following:
• by donating funds through the HSE foundation
• by giving lectures
• by supporting students of business science through mentorship
• by offering their expertise for the development of the university
Traditionally, HSE has maintained close relations with the world of commerce. Companies are in various ways involved in the development of research and teaching, and cooperation helps us to achieve our goal of being the leading research-oriented business school in Europe.
